Parrot OS is a Debian-based Linux distribution designed for security testing digital forensics and privacy. It is a lighter alternative to Kali Linux with lower system requirements and a more polished desktop experience. Parrot includes pre-installed tools for penetration testing vulnerability assessment forensics anonymity and cryptography. The Home edition serves as a privacy-focused daily driver while the Security edition is the full pentesting platform. Parrot uses a hardened kernel sandboxed applications and includes AnonSurf for one-click Tor routing. It supports x86 ARM and cloud deployments.
